Thousands of years later, in 1930 wheatgrass became the subject of research conducted by Charles F Schnabel. And in 1940, Schnabel made the first powdered wheatgrass product available for sale in America. Today, wheatgrass continues to be a highly nutritious wholefood when added to cereals, into smoothies or juices.
