Almond meal or almond flour is one of our favourite substitutes for plain flour for those seeking a gluten free or low carbohydrate alternative. Not only does it have a nutty flavour but it is chock full of nutrients and fibre. Rich in vitamin E and minerals such as magnesium, almond meal is a wonderful addition to your baking that not only tastes great and is versatile, pairing well with other ingredients, but has plenty of health benefits to boot!
Happy and healthy tummies are not the only reason to tuck into these blondies. Eat well knowing that your baking is contributing to the incredible initiatives of some of our favourite eco-health brands Loving Earth and Lotus.
Choosing to use chocolate from Loving Earth’s range means that you are supporting fair trade and using organic, whole food and nutrient dense ingredients. Loving Earth collaborates with and sources raw cacao from the Ashaninka community of the Peruvian Amazon. The collaboration with this indigenous community is essential to the sustainability of both the rainforest that they inhabit and the community itself.
